Cultivation Notes
A vigorous XXL autoflower suited for indoor, outdoor, greenhouse, and mixed-light environments, Gorilla Z Auto completes seed to harvest in approximately 63 to 65 days with yield potential of 51 to 60 g/sq ft. Plants stretch significantly in the first weeks of flower and can reach 39 to 60 inches, so adequate vertical clearance is essential. Airflow and humidity management are critical during late flower given the extreme bud density; a strong oscillating fan and consistent humidity monitoring will keep mold at bay. This is a heavy feeder and drinker in flower, so maintain a dialed feed schedule and monitor pH closely to avoid nutrient lockout or burn.
Additional Info
Gorilla Z Auto is an indica-dominant hybrid (70% indica / 30% sativa) bred from GG4 Auto x Z Auto, itself a cross of Zkittlez (Grape Ape x Grapefruit) and Tangie genetics. This strain has tested total cannabinoids at 29.85% in their most recent lab testing, and the strain took first place at Dabadoo Brasil 2022, a competition judged on terpene profile and potency. Effects open with an uplifting cerebral rush that boosts creativity and mood before transitioning into a long-lasting body stone; we describe it as equally workable for day or night depending on dose. Its heavy trichome production makes it a standout choice for extractors and hash makers.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Gorilla Z Auto a Sativa, Indica, or Hybrid?
Indica
Is Gorilla Z Auto an Autoflower or Photoperiod strain?
Gorilla Z Auto is an Autoflower. Autoflower varieties flower automatically based on age, usually finishing 9 to 12 weeks from seed regardless of light schedule. No light timing required — they're ideal for new growers, fast turnarounds, and growing indoors year-round. Photoperiod varieties flower when the light schedule changes (typically 12 hours on / 12 hours off). They take longer but give you more control over plant size and yield.
How long does it take Gorilla Z Auto to grow?
Autoflowers are the fastest path from seed to harvest. Most finish in 8 to 12 weeks total from germination, regardless of light schedule. Because they flower based on age rather than light changes, there's no separate vegetative phase to manage. Just plant, provide consistent light (18 to 20 hours a day works well), and let the plant do its thing. Check the strain details above for specific timing estimates, and visit our growing guide for tips on getting the most out of your grow.

How do I germinate Gorilla Z Auto seeds?
Autoflowers need a slightly different approach because their roots are sensitive to transplanting. Start with a 24-hour soak in a hydrogen peroxide solution (1 part 3% H2O2 to 6 parts water) to boost germination. After soaking, plant the seed directly into its final container (3 to 5 gallon pot) about half an inch deep — do not use the paper towel method or start in a small pot. Spray the area around the seed to keep the soil moist, but do not soak the entire container. The key with autoflowers is to never transplant them.
