Cultivation Notes
Strawberry Gorilla Auto grows between 3 and 5 feet tall depending on grow conditions and typically reaches maturity in about 10 weeks. It develops a christmas tree structure with a strong central cola and long side branches capable of supporting substantial bud weight. It can produce up to 56 grams per sq ft, forming lime green, resin heavy flowers with oversized spade shaped tips and bright orange hairs that give each bud a striking appearance. Trichome coverage builds rapidly, and the terpene profile intensifies as the buds mature, shifting toward a full, strawberry forward aroma with a noticeable gassy edge. Due to its size and vigor, this cultivar is best managed with adequate vertical space, good airflow, and structured training.
Additional Info
Winner of the first American Autoflower Cup in 2023 and holder of the Highest Combined Terpenes award at the Farmer’s Cup in the Home Grow Hash category, Strawberry Gorilla Auto has earned a strong reputation among growers for both terpene output and potency. Its sweet strawberry aroma, dense resin production, and minimal sugar leaf development also make it appealing for hash makers and growers who prefer an easier trim. Many people describe the overall experience as functional and creatively stimulating at first, eventually settling into a deeper, calmer body presence. It is often appreciated by those who enjoy cultivars that offer a bright mental element paired with a grounded physical feel.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Strawberry Gorilla Auto a Sativa, Indica, or Hybrid?

Is Strawberry Gorilla Auto an Autoflower or Photoperiod strain?
Strawberry Gorilla Auto is an Autoflower. Autoflower varieties flower automatically based on age, usually finishing 9 to 12 weeks from seed regardless of light schedule. No light timing required — they're ideal for new growers, fast turnarounds, and growing indoors year-round. Photoperiod varieties flower when the light schedule changes (typically 12 hours on / 12 hours off). They take longer but give you more control over plant size and yield.
How long does it take Strawberry Gorilla Auto to grow?
Autoflowers are the fastest path from seed to harvest. Most finish in 8 to 12 weeks total from germination, regardless of light schedule. Because they flower based on age rather than light changes, there's no separate vegetative phase to manage. Just plant, provide consistent light (18 to 20 hours a day works well), and let the plant do its thing. Check the strain details above for specific timing estimates, and visit our growing guide for tips on getting the most out of your grow.

How do I germinate Strawberry Gorilla Auto seeds?
Autoflowers need a slightly different approach because their roots are sensitive to transplanting. Start with a 24-hour soak in a hydrogen peroxide solution (1 part 3% H2O2 to 6 parts water) to boost germination. After soaking, plant the seed directly into its final container (3 to 5 gallon pot) about half an inch deep — do not use the paper towel method or start in a small pot. Spray the area around the seed to keep the soil moist, but do not soak the entire container. The key with autoflowers is to never transplant them.
