Cultivation Notes
Blueberry Auto typically reaches about 2.5 to 3.5 feet tall and finishes in around 9 weeks. The growth habit is compact and bushy, with slightly longer internodes than most Indica-leaning autoflowers. Indoors it can produce up to 46 grams per sq ft, developing rock-solid buds that build color early and may show purple, red, pink, or nearly black hues in the right conditions. Trichome coverage becomes heavy as harvest approaches, and the aroma transitions from mild berry sweetness to a fuller wild blueberry scent. This cultivar responds well to gentle defoliation to open lower bud sites and tends to perform beautifully when given steady light, simple feeding, and stable conditions.
Additional Info
Many people describe the overall experience as calm and comforting at first, gradually settling into a deeper, heavier presence that reflects its Indica background. Its strong berry-forward terpene profile and colorful expression make it a favorite for growers who enjoy classic fruit genetics with minimal fuss. Blueberry Auto is also known for producing dense buds with a thick resin layer, making it appealing for anyone who prefers rich, aromatic flowers and smooth, flavorful smoke after a proper cure. Its combination of color, simplicity, and nostalgic blueberry character has made this strain a long-standing staple for growers of all experience levels.

Frequently Asked Questions

Indica Leaning Hybrid
Is Blueberry Auto an Autoflower or Photoperiod strain?
Blueberry Auto is an Autoflower. Autoflower varieties flower automatically based on age, usually finishing 9 to 12 weeks from seed regardless of light schedule. No light timing required — they're ideal for new growers, fast turnarounds, and growing indoors year-round. Photoperiod varieties flower when the light schedule changes (typically 12 hours on / 12 hours off). They take longer but give you more control over plant size and yield.
How long does it take Blueberry Auto to grow?
Autoflowers are the fastest path from seed to harvest. Most finish in 8 to 12 weeks total from germination, regardless of light schedule. Because they flower based on age rather than light changes, there's no separate vegetative phase to manage. Just plant, provide consistent light (18 to 20 hours a day works well), and let the plant do its thing. Check the strain details above for specific timing estimates, and visit our growing guide for tips on getting the most out of your grow.

How do I germinate Blueberry Auto seeds?
Autoflowers need a slightly different approach because their roots are sensitive to transplanting. Start with a 24-hour soak in a hydrogen peroxide solution (1 part 3% H2O2 to 6 parts water) to boost germination. After soaking, plant the seed directly into its final container (3 to 5 gallon pot) about half an inch deep — do not use the paper towel method or start in a small pot. Spray the area around the seed to keep the soil moist, but do not soak the entire container. The key with autoflowers is to never transplant them.
