Cultivation Notes:
Girl Scout Cookies flowers in 60 to 65 days and reaches 39 to 47 inches indoors and 59 to 79 inches outdoors. Indoor yields run 1.9 to 2.2 oz/sq ft, while outdoor plants can produce around 3+ lbs per plant at harvest in the first or second week of October. The structure is compact and Indica-leaning with strong lateral branching and dense bud development through the final weeks of flower. Trichome production is heavy throughout the canopy, and the plant responds well to open training techniques that improve airflow and light distribution as the flowers fill in.
Additional Info:
Growers commonly associate Girl Scout Cookies with a balanced body and cerebral character that reflects its OG Kush foundation with a Durban Poison-driven uplift layered in. The flavor carries minty chocolate, skunky sweet cherry, and lemon notes that are expressive and distinct after cure. At 28% T#C it delivers serious potency alongside that terpene complexity. The combination of yield potential, short flower time, and well-documented genetics makes it one of the more reliable photoperiod Indica hybrids in the catalog for growers looking for a proven, high-output strain.
This seed was developed by a trusted member of the Triangle Seeds Breeder Network, ensuring top-tier quality and genetic integrity.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Girl Scout Cookies a Sativa, Indica, or Hybrid?
Indica
Is Girl Scout Cookies an Autoflower or Photoperiod strain?
Girl Scout Cookies is a Photoperiod strain. Photoperiod varieties flower when the light schedule changes (typically 12 hours on / 12 hours off). They take longer than autoflowers but give you more control over plant size and yield. Autoflower varieties flower automatically based on age, usually finishing 9 to 12 weeks from seed — no light timing required.
How long does it take Girl Scout Cookies to grow?
Photoperiod strains give you more control over timing, but they take longer overall — typically 3 to 5 months from seed to harvest. You'll spend 4 to 8 weeks in vegetative growth (where you control how big the plant gets), then switch to a 12/12 light schedule to trigger flowering, which takes another 7 to 10 weeks depending on the strain. Indoor growers have full control over when to flip, while outdoor harvests generally land between late September and mid-October. How do I germinate Girl Scout Cookies seeds?
We recommend the paper towel method for the most reliable results. Start with a 24-hour soak in a hydrogen peroxide solution (1 part 3% H2O2 to 6 parts water) to boost germination rates. After soaking, place your seeds between two damp paper towels inside a container or plastic bag, and keep them in a warm spot (around 75 to 80°F). Most seeds crack open within 24 to 72 hours. Once a taproot appears, transfer the seed gently into your growing medium about a quarter-inch deep. For a full walkthrough, check out our germination guide.
