Cultivation Notes
Gorilla Cookies Auto generally finishes around 3-5 feet tall after flowering for 10 weeks, forming a stout, bushy frame with wide internodal spacing and a thick central cola supported by strong side branches. Indoors it can produce up to 60 grams per sq ft, developing dense golf-ball sized buds with a mix of dark and light green tones, bright orange pistils, and a heavy blanket of trichomes. Resin production ramps up quickly and becomes especially intense in the final weeks as the flowers take on a frosty, almost white appearance. This cultivar performs reliably in a range of environments, responding well to LST, SCROG, and consistent full-spectrum lighting with proper airflow throughout the canopy.
Additional Info
This strain won Best Autoflower at the 2022 Cosecha Cup, and has built a reputation for yield potential, resin output, and a terpene profile that blends sweet cookie notes, earthy mint, and subtle nutty undertones. Many people describe the overall experience as strong and full, with an initial lift that gradually shifts into a more grounded, body centered feel. Its dense bud structure and high trichome content make it appealing for hash makers and growers seeking plants with significant extraction potential. When properly dried and cured, the aroma deepens into a rich mix of sweetness, earth, and gas that has become a signature trait of the strain.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Gorilla Cookies Auto a Sativa, Indica, or Hybrid?
Hybrid
Is Gorilla Cookies Auto an Autoflower or Photoperiod strain?
Gorilla Cookies Auto is an Autoflower. Autoflower varieties flower automatically based on age, usually finishing 9 to 12 weeks from seed regardless of light schedule. No light timing required — they're ideal for new growers, fast turnarounds, and growing indoors year-round. Photoperiod varieties flower when the light schedule changes (typically 12 hours on / 12 hours off). They take longer but give you more control over plant size and yield.
How long does it take Gorilla Cookies Auto to grow?
Autoflowers are the fastest path from seed to harvest. Most finish in 8 to 12 weeks total from germination, regardless of light schedule. Because they flower based on age rather than light changes, there's no separate vegetative phase to manage. Just plant, provide consistent light (18 to 20 hours a day works well), and let the plant do its thing. Check the strain details above for specific timing estimates, and visit our growing guide for tips on getting the most out of your grow.

How do I germinate Gorilla Cookies Auto seeds?
Autoflowers need a slightly different approach because their roots are sensitive to transplanting. Start with a 24-hour soak in water to boost germination. After soaking, plant the seed directly into its final container (3 to 5 gallon pot) about half an inch deep — do not use the paper towel method or start in a small pot. Spray the area around the seed to keep the soil moist, but do not soak the entire container. The key with autoflowers is to never transplant them.
