Cultivation Notes:
White Widow Auto finishes in 70 to 75 days from seed, staying compact at 31 to 39 inches indoors and 39 to 47 inches outdoors. The plant grows bushy and wide, developing dense, heavily frosted colas with an extraordinary trichome blanket that gives the flowers a near-white appearance at peak ripeness. Indoor yields run 1.5 to 1.8 oz/sq ft, while outdoor plants commonly produce 6 to 9 oz per plant. It is notably resistant to mold, pests, and cooler temperatures, which makes it one of the more forgiving autoflowers to grow across a range of environments and conditions.
Additional Info:
Growers commonly associate White Widow Auto with an uplifting, creative character that reflects its Brazilian Sativa influence despite the predominantly Indica structure. The flavor carries sweet, fruity, and spicy pine notes that are expressive after cure and consistent with the White Widow name. At 23% T#C, it delivers solid potency with a resin output that punches well above its size. Its mold resistance and cold-climate tolerance make it a practical choice for outdoor growers in shorter seasons or variable climates, and it performs equally well indoors where its compact footprint is easy to manage.
This seed was developed by a trusted member of the Triangle Seeds Breeder Network, ensuring top-tier quality and genetic integrity.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is White Widow Auto a Sativa, Indica, or Hybrid?
Indica
Is White Widow Auto an Autoflower or Photoperiod strain?
White Widow Auto is an Autoflower. Autoflower varieties flower automatically based on age, usually finishing 9 to 12 weeks from seed regardless of light schedule. No light timing required — they're ideal for new growers, fast turnarounds, and growing indoors year-round. Photoperiod varieties flower when the light schedule changes (typically 12 hours on / 12 hours off). They take longer but give you more control over plant size and yield.
How long does it take White Widow Auto to grow?
Autoflowers are the fastest path from seed to harvest. Most finish in 8 to 12 weeks total from germination, regardless of light schedule. Because they flower based on age rather than light changes, there's no separate vegetative phase to manage. Just plant, provide consistent light (18 to 20 hours a day works well), and let the plant do its thing. Check the strain details above for specific timing estimates, and visit our growing guide for tips on getting the most out of your grow.

How do I germinate White Widow Auto seeds?
Autoflowers need a slightly different approach because their roots are sensitive to transplanting. Start with a 24-hour soak in a hydrogen peroxide solution (1 part 3% H2O2 to 6 parts water) to boost germination. After soaking, plant the seed directly into its final container (3 to 5 gallon pot) about half an inch deep — do not use the paper towel method or start in a small pot. Spray the area around the seed to keep the soil moist, but do not soak the entire container. The key with autoflowers is to never transplant them.
